Christmas vacation travel to Central America

Vacation travel during Christmas to the Central America countries of Belize, Costa Rica, Panama and Nicaragua are a holiday you won’t soon forget. As a travel agency it is nothing short of a blast. Helping make so many dreams come true for the holidays leaves us feeling a bit like Santa Claus!

The word "Christmas" usually conjures up images of snow on the streets and cuddling in front of fireplaces. But if you take a vacation in Central America during this holiday season, you will escape the cold weather and still be able to observe --and even participate in--some of the most elaborate Christmas celebrations on earth.
.

White sand beaches, colonial cities, Mayan ruins and tropical jungles await you to explore. To escape the cold of North American winters and experience these wonderful cultures is a gift in itself.  Your big decision on Christmas day is what activity to choose. How about, whitewater rafting, para-sailing, canopy zip lining, hiking or sunning the day away. These are just a few of the hundreds of activities to choose from.  In these adventure tourism countries, no tour is closed for Christmas.

Many Christmas traditions in Central America resemble those in the United States, but many others differ significantly. For example, because Belize is such a multicultural nation, the holiday is lively with Garifuna dancers and Creole Christmas songs. Tamales are a Christmas staple in both Costa Rica and Nicaragua. The streets are filled with dancers and parades in Panama. In Costa Rica, Santa Claus doesn't bring Christmas presents and --they are said to be brought by Baby Jesus!

Festivals, light parades, music and dancing await you along with warm weather, beautiful people and a generous dose of ahhhhhhh.....

Come join us this holiday season in Central America

honeymoon Costa Rica Belize Panama Nicaragua Travel Central America

Central America is home to untamed jungle, beautiful beaches, ancient culture and outdoor adventure. Belize, Costa Rica, Panama and Nicaragua are perfect honeymoon travel vacation destinations.

There is a new trend worldwide for soon to be husbands and wives. Due to the fact that many couples are choosing to marry later in life or have been living together for some time, there is not the need for the usual toaster-blender gift. Couples are now choosing to register their honeymoons on their bridal registries. This has turned out to be a win win for all, as guest of the wedding don’t have the burden of shopping for the right gift, and the honeymooners get a gift of memories that will last a lifetime.

Pete and Leslie just returning from their honeymoon to Costa Rica and Nicaragua said “This took such a load off of us and our parents as we spent so much on the wedding, our budget was small for the honeymoon. We would have never been able to afford a honeymoon like this and Renee and Samantha our travel agents, took care of all of the correspondence and payments with our guest.”

We asked Renee at Break Central America how this works.  “The couples customize their vacations and then it can work two ways. We can list each item on their itinerary for a guest to purchase such as a nights stay in the chosen hotel or an adventure tour such as canopy zip line. The second option is on the registry there are 25.00, 50.00 or 100.00 or more allotments’ that will go towards the purchase of the honeymoon. Either way the guest then receives a certificate to place in an envelope to take to the wedding so that they do not arrive at the wedding empty handed.”

Emily and Ryan said “Our entire honeymoon to Belize was set up and paid for months in advance of the wedding. We received many comments from our guest and families that they loved the idea of purchasing fun for us. When we got back from our honeymoon our agent Samantha had a list ready for us to send thank you notes, we included a photo in each of the trip!”  Emily and Ryan had several soon to be brides and grooms at their wedding. “They loved the idea so much that they’re going to do the same for their honeymoons!”

Central America is home to untamed jungle, beautiful beaches, ancient culture and outdoor adventure. Belize, Costa Rica, Panama and Nicaragua, offer interesting alternatives to honeymooners desiring something different. All close to North America, these destinations offer fun, excitement, romance, and beauty, without the exorbitant price tag of more traditional honeymoon destinations.
